  1. Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. These are the words said by an ordinary but famous person. Yes, education is of utmost importance to shape ones’ future.

In a country like India, where the literacy rate is India’s 74.04%, education matters. This makes India to grow from underdeveloped country to developed country at present. Hard works matter. And in today’s world, a person must be smart and work hard to live in this society. From the famous Mr. Ambani, the owner of Reliance Ltd. to a beloved Bollywood action, Late. Sushant Singh Rajput, education was important to them to carve their life.

However, there are still days in some of the parts of India where the literacy rate is below 40%. This may be due to various factors viz. lack of facilities, finance, or even disinterest of a child. The prior two factors could be sorted with the help of Government or by NGOs, but the later one still remains a question.

Schools could upboost motivation of these students by setting up various activities of their types. If a child is interested in working at a garage, why not start educating him in mechanical field. If a child loves playing one of the instruments in the band, start educating him in that field. After all, to live in today’s world, money matter. A person needs to have savings in order to survive the lockdown. Obviously other knowledge does matter. Schools could also motivate such children using scholarships. NGOs could sponsor children to get educated. Rather than setting up high standards and goals, help the child to set up small goals. Learn what is making the child develop lack of interest in learning. Focus on learning instead of performance. Make education stress-free.

In brief, being motivated students could reach closer to their dream. Many ways can lead to better education. A varying and suitable technique, portraying role model and getting support from the environment are pathways to be friendly with the study.

    • Take a look at our free lesson on writing an introduction to Task 2 (visit and click the link in the menu for the demo lesson). You are making all the common mistakes here by not directly addressing the question in your opening sentences.

Some good vocabulary, but avoid starting a formal sentence with ‘And’ and avoid rhetorical questions (‘why not start educating him in mechanical field’).

  2. Dear Teacher,

I am writing to let you know that my inability of continuing the evening course due to my busy work schedule.

Let me brief my situation, I have been working for a software company for the past 6 years on a regular shift (9.00 am to 5.00 pm). And, I was under the impression that regular shifts will continue. But, unfortunately, management has changed the working hours due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As per the updated rooster, my timings are changed. The worst part is that there is no specific working time. As per them, it can be changed very often and employees are asked to be flexible during this pandemic.
Therefore, I am thinking to discontinue the course for time being and to continue later, mostly after that the pandemic situation becomes normal.
Also, thought of getting your input as well in this regard. Could you please provide me any better way which comes in your mind that might help me make a firm decision.

    Yours Sincerely,

  3. Dear Mrs. Jackson,
I´m sadly writing this e-mail to explain that, even though I love doing your course, I’m quitting it because I have been overwhelmed with family issues. My parents are getting a divorce, situation that have been strongly affecting my little sister, who relies only on me, and that is consuming all my time.
However, as I said, I’m truly enjoying your course, so it would be wonderful if I could retake it next semester. Whereas, I would like to know if it is possible to reuse the progress that I have already made in this course to the next semester. I have done two tests and three assignments, could I use the score that I have reached on those instead of retaking them?
I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but I don’t have time to continuing taking your course and I can´t stand failing it.
    Thank you for the comprehension,
    Your Student.
